A RYE charity shop is inviting local groups to apply for funding.
The ARRCC charity shop opened its doors in Cinque Ports Street in April last year after Flora Williams, Community Capacity Builder from Neighbourhood Enablers and a group of local volunteers approached ARRCC with the suggested project of opening a charity shop together.
Their vision was to open a volunteer run charity shop which eventually would be able to offer funding to local small charities and to ARRCC.
Since then the shop has been well supported by the local community enabling it to be the first charity shop in Rye to give back to good community causes in the Rye area,
As the first year of trading has now been reached, funding forms are available at the Shop in Cinque Ports Street for local groups to apply. More information is available at the shop at 7 Cinque Ports Street.
ARRCC provides respite care and activities locally.
