COULD you lead a walk in the Rye area aimed at encouraging people to lead a healthy lifestyle?
Paula Hubens from The Conservation Volunteers is holding a health walk leader training day on Wednesday March 26.
She said: “Healthy Walks are part of the nationwide Walking for Health scheme which aims to get people healthier and happier by providing free, short and easy led walks.
“A free walk leader training day will be held on Wednesday 26 March in Hastings from 9.30am – 4pm.
“No previous experience is required, just a friendly nature and the availability to lead the Rye healthy walk on a regular basis.
“The walk takes place every Monday morning.”
TCV has long championed the wider impacts of conservation volunteering, for example linking to community development, regeneration and more recently health.
Regular Health Walks also take place in the Battle area.
