Man airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after A21 crash

A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital after he was seriously hurt in a crash on the A21 on Saturday (November 30).

The 30-year-old rider, from Hastings, suffered injuries to his thorax and upper leg when his motorbike was in collision with a Vauxhall car on the stretch of road near Robertsbridge.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene just after 10am.

Because of the nature of the man’s injuries, the Kent Air Ambulance was scrambled and the patient was airlifted to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings.

The Vauxhall driver, a 74-year-old Hastings man, was not injured.

Police have issued an appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information about the accident to get in touch with them.

PC Jamie Armstrong, of Sussex Police, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to come forward to help us in this investigation.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 0526 30/11.”
