Members of the Battle and District Arts Group are currently holding their summer art exhibition and sale of paintings at Battle Memorial Hall.
Members of the group have been busy working all year to produce their best artwork for the popular annual show.
The exhibition team of volunteers took charge of almost 300 paintings, which were catalogued and hung last weekend.
On Tuesday afternoon, representatives from nine local business prize sponsors, including the Battle Observer, attended to select individual paintings for special awards.
An evening of wine, music and conversation followed as artists and invited guests attended a buzzing evening preview and the sales of artwork began.
As in previous years an original painting is being raffled for charity. Tickets are on sale for £1 each and proceeds will go to the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Service.
With free entry and the wide variety of works on display, this exhibition has something to appeal to everyone and visitors are encouraged to join in and vote for their favourite painting T
he most popular visitor’s choice painting will also be awarded a prize as the show draws to a close.
The exhibition continues daily between 10am and 5pm until August 17.
