Pensioner hit by car

A PENSIONER was injured after she was struck by a car in Battle town centre yesterday afternoon (January 23).

The accident happened just after 3.50pm in Mount Street.

The woman, who is believed to be aged 70, suffered injuries to her hip, arm, foot, face and sustained some bruising.

She was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings.
