RYE Police seized 242 Cannabis plants at an address on Winchelsea Road.
Two men were arrested in the raid, which took place on the evening of Tuesday November 26.
One of the men, Gavin Horsley of Winchelsea Road, Rye, aged 24, was charged with production of cannabis and abstracting electricity. Horsley is currently on bail and will next be appearing at Hastings Magistrates Court on December 20.
The other man, also 24 was released on bail pending further enquiries.
The operation was led by Rye Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Warren Downs who said: “We are very pleased with the result of this operation.
“Drug crime heavily impacts communities and will not be tolerated. We will always listen to the publics concerns regarding these issues and would encourage any person to come forward and speak with us to help us keep our communities safe.”
