THE sun shone for Northiam’s big annual Summer Fair on Saturday.
The fun started early in the morning with a well attended boot sale on the playing fields.
The event itself included displays of classic cars and motorcycles, children’s amusements, live music, a fun tug of war and ferret racing.
There were lots of craft and charity stalls including a Teddy tombola to raise funds for the Chitwiri School in Malawi.
Broad Oak firefighters and the local police also put in an appearance.
Northiam Bonfire society organised traditional games such as a coconut shy, splat the rat and hoopla and people were able to enjoy a barbecue, licensed bar and refreshments made by the local W.I.
Northiam resident Karen Ayling said: “It was a beautiful sunny day with lots of booters and stalls and everyone seemed to have a good time.”
