Teenage girl hurt in Catsfield collision

A TEENAGE girl was rushed to hospital following a crash in Catsfield.

Two cars collided on a bend near the Great Park Farm Nursery on the B2204 just after 8.45am on Tuesday (February 25).

Four people were injured in the collision.

The 16-year-old girl was taken to the Conquest Hospital as a priority case, suffering from back and shoulder pain.

Two other patients were also taken to hospital while a fourth patient, who suffered a wrist injury, declined treatment.

The scene was also attended by a fire crew from Battle and one from Bexhill.

Firefighters used specialist hydraulic cutting equipment to free one of the casualties.

Usually both fire appliances would have come from Battle Fire Station, but there were not enough personnel available on the day at Battle to crew the second appliance.
