Tourism in 1066 Country receives welcome boost with Trip Advisor award

HONOURS have been flooding in to 1066 Country businesses for their top performances in the competitive field of tourism and hospitality.

The coveted Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence has been awarded to a number of attractions, restaurants and hotels by the renowned market leader in customer feedback and reviews.

The Certificate of Excellence, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide.

Only the top-performing 10 per cent of businesses listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.

To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, on TripAdvisor reviews, and must have been listed on the site for at least 12 months.

Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.

Among the 1066 Country attractions to receive the accolade are Bateman’s at Burwash, Bodiam Castle, Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, Sedlescombe Golf Hotel and the James Andrews School of Golf.

1066 Country has a wealth of top quality accommodation and Tony and Diane Hayes of Oaklands B&B, Rye, are delighted to receive the award for another year running.

They said: ‘We make every attempt to provide our guests with the very best in hospitality so that they can take home happy memories of their time spent in Rye.

“We are therefore delighted to receive, yet again, Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence in recognition of our efforts in looking after our guests at Oaklands in the way that we do.”

Oaklands joins a host of award winning accommodation providers, among which number English Rose B&B, Bexhill, Seaspray B&B, Hastings and Kester House, Sedlescombe.

A list of more award winners can be found on the 1066 Country Marketing Facebook and Twitter pages.
