Hastings-born performer Lucy Hope-Borne is set to star in the tribute show An Evening of Dirty Dancing at The White Rock Theatre on June 29.
As a special treat, 15 of her local contemporaries, the senior dancers from The Hastings Stage Studio where she trained, have been asked to perform with Lucy and the rest of the cast in a special number created for the show.
Lucy began singing and dancing at an early age. She attended The Hastings Stage Studio school for the performing arts where she completed exams in all areas of dance, singing and drama and performed in many shows throughout the area.
Lucy was awarded Most Promising Singer 2006 and Musical Theatre Performer 2007, which led to her being asked to sing at Buckingham Palace for a Royal Birthday Celebration for Prince Phillip.
Now 22, she has already amassed numerous professional theatre credits, including Princess Jasmine in Aladdin (Yvonne Arnaud Theatre); Sandy in Ultimate Grease (UK Tour); and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (Broadway Theatre, London).
An Evening of Dirty Dancing is a smash hit tribute to one of the greatest movie soundtracks of all time.
The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £19. To book call 01424 462288 or visit whiterocktheatre.org.uk.
