TWO people, including a man from Catsfield, have been arrested after £900,000 allegedly went missing from a Selsey solicitors’ client account.
As part of an ongoing police investigation into CK Solicitors, Sussex Police confirmed the arrests had been made.
A police spokesman said the Sussex Police Major Fraud Unit had been investigating events that led to the closure of the solicitors by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA).
The investigation centres on the alleged disappearance of around £900,000 from the client account at the firm.
The two company directors were Simon Kenny and Emma Coates.
This week, Sussex Police confirmed on Wednesday, April 10, and Thursday, April 11, a 44-year-old Selsey woman and a 52-year-old Catsfield man were arrested on suspicion of fraud.
After being interviewed they were released on police bail until August 21 and 22 respectively while police enquiries continue.
