Man pleads guilty after brawl in Battle town

A NETHERFIELD man has pleaded guilty to GBH following a fight between a group of people in Battle town centre earlier in the year.

Anthony Adams, 21, of Darvel Down, admitted one charge of wounding with intent following the incident near Battle Abbey on May 24, which left one man with serious facial injuries.

The judge at Lewes Crown Court presiding over the hearing on August 16 remanded Adams in custody.

He will be sentenced at a later date.

Eli King, 22, also from Darvel Down, has pleaded not guilty to the same charge relating to the same incident.

King will face trial at Lewes Crown Court on November 11.

He has been remanded in custody ahead of the trial date.
