The Netherfield Breakaway Club enjoyed their annual summer lunch at The White Hart Netherfield in July and, following the usual summer break are looking forward to their September coach outing on Thursday 19th to Knole, near Sevenoaks. Speakers for the next two meetings on 17 October and 21 November have, of course, been organised and then we will have our Christmas luncheon at The Brickwall, Sedlescombe on Thursday 12 December – where has this year gone! Very pleasant summer weather has seen us all catching up with our gardening jobs, enjoying family outings, breaks and holidays. We are a friendly group meeting on the third Thursday of every month (except August) with interesting guest speakers which include a slide show, activity or demonstration and two outings. New members and guests are always welcome to join us at The White Hart, Netherfield where a warm welcome awaits. Meetings commence at 3 pm and we have tea or coffee and biscuits and a raffle. Look forward to seeing you!
