Netherfield Primary School has been rated ’Outstanding in all Categories’ following a church inspection in October.
It follows on from a fantastic Ofsted report in October 2013 in which the school was also graded Outstanding in many areas
Ofsted rated Netherfield Outstanding for leadership and management and behaviour and safety of pupils and graded Good for quality of teaching and achievement of pupils,
The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist School (SIAMS) looked at the school’s ‘church distinctiveness’ and included lesson observations and data scrutiny akin to that of an Ofsted inspection.
The report states the school is outstanding as a result of “the highly committed and experienced leadership of the school that has secured the school’s effectiveness and achievement as a Church of England school through constantly seeking to enhance the quality of experience provided for children”
The inspector commented about “the way in which leaders have embedded the Christian values to promote achievement leads to a whole school ethos of care, respect and compassion”.
Chair of Governors Jenny Dudgeon said: The school motto – Love Never Fails, underpins everything within the school, from the wellbeing of everyone in the school community to the fantastic achievements that each and every child makes.”
