NORTHIAM Village Hall was transformed into a spooky haunted mansion last Saturday for ‘Nightmare in Northiam’.
The event was organised by Northiam Showtimers and billed as a Halloween Dinner Dance with entertainment.
Geoff Poyton, from the Showtimers, said: “We encouraged guests to dress up for the occasion which they did with gusto, sporting some very imaginative costumes.
“The sell-out event showcased a haunting playlet on stage, written and directed by Showtimers member Adam Fuller.
“Everyone enjoyed a two-course meal cooked and served by Margaret Jones and her team of ladies, dressed as scary serving-wenches.
“There was a ‘Thriller’ style dance by the younger Showtimers members plus a Zombie flashmob.
“After the well supported raffle, guests danced the night away to Halloween-themed music.
“The evening was a great success and one guest commented ‘It was the best night of my life’.
“Profits from the night are going towards the upkeep of the village hall.”
