ROAD CLOSURES: The ongoing road closures through the village will continue with the section of the A268 between Church Lane and Coldharbour Lane being worked on from June 11 - 17; from June 18 - July 2 the section from Iden Road to Military Road will be closed. It will definitely be a big relief when it’s finished!

SING FOR FUN: The Sing For Fun group along with children from Peasmarsh Primary School will be presenting an entertainment on Saturday July 4 at 3pm in the Memorial hall. Entrance will be £3.50 which includes refreshments; this is a fund raising event for the Playspace project so please support it if you can, thank you.

WEDDING FAYRE: The Brownies and Guides will be holding a fund raising Wedding Fayre at the Memorial hall on Sunday June 28 from 10am until 4pm. There will be lots of stalls to help you organise your wedding day plus a raffle and refreshments. Entry is free so why not go along and get some wedding inspiration!

PEASMARSH FILM CLUB: Peasmarsh Film Club will be screening The Good German at 7.30pm on Friday June 19. For details on membership or to join contact Hilary on 230205 - you can become a member on the night for a cost of £20 for the entire season; the next film will be on September 11 after the summer break.

ARTS AND CRAFTS FAIR: There will be an Arts and Crafts Fair at the hall on Sunday June 21, doors open 10.30am.

PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION: Don’t forget to submit your best photographs for the Memorial Hall photographic Competition - The Memorial Hall Management Committee and Peasmarsh C of E Primary School are running a photographic competition to find pictures for a 2016 Peasmarsh Calendar and are looking for pictures that show the variety and things that make Peasmarsh the village it is.The competition will run until September 11, winners will be notified by September 25 and announced in the October edition of The Peasmarsh Periodical

SCHOOL FAIR: Peasmarsh Primary school will be holding their Summer Fair on July 11, starting at 12 noon - more information to follow!

ROCK AND ROLL: There will be a 60’s Rock and Roll evening at the hall on Saturday August 15 in aid of St Michael’s Hospice and the Memorial hall - the last one was very popular so look out for tickets going on sale soon!

PET SERVICE: There will be another Pet Service at Beckley church on Sunday June 14 when the congregation from Beckley and Peasmarsh are encouraged to bring their pets to be blessed, and thank God for their creation and the joy and companionship they give us. The Rev. Bill Dolman will be officiating at this service. Please note that this year this service will start at 11am - not the usual Sunday time of 10am. After the service we shall be holding a Family Picnic in the churchyard. We invite you to bring your own picnic lunch but there will be soft drinks available, tea, coffee, snacks, a salad bar and raspberries/strawberries and cream to augment your picnic.There will also be a Market stall with produce and preserves. Please come and join us for what should be a very happy communal occasion.
