Church Services on Sunday July 14 – Sea Sunday, St Nicholas, Pett Level at 10:30am. For some years Pett Church has been sharing this service with the Methodists on the beach by the Rescue Boat House. It is a great place to hold an outdoor service and this year it will be shared not only with the Methodists but also the Fairlight congregation and the children of the Uniformed Organisations will be joining in.
As always the collection will be donated to The Mission to Seafarers- a world-wide organisation supporting and helping seafarers, who are often away from home for many months at a time. Please come along and bring a chair, as deck chairs are not provided!
On Monday July 15 the Village Choir will meet again at 7.30pm in Pett Methodist Chapel.
POPP on Tuesday July 16 feature Brian Howard. The session runs from 10.30am to 2.30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.
Also on Tuesday July 16 Pett Parish Council will meet in Pett Village Hall at 7.30pm.
On Friday July 19, the speaker at the Pett WI meeting will be local flower expert Jude Robertson, who will give an instructive demonstration of flower arranging. Everyone is welcome at the Village hall at 2:30pm. The tea is delicious; the talks are interesting and the company is second to none!
Well it has finally happened! The 77-year wait for a British champion at Wimbledon is over with Andy Murray’s victory over Novak Djokovich last Sunday. So now is a great time to join or indeed rejoin Pett Tennis Club. Membership rates have been reduced this year to try and attract as many of you budding players as possible as well as families simply wanting to try it out.
