On Saturday October 5 Friends of Pett Church will be holding a Jumble Sale from 1pm to 3pm in Pett Village Hall in aid of Church Funds. There will be the usual vast selection of books and masses of clothes and toys and, perhaps best of all, the bric-a-brac stall full of treasures. You can also buy raffle tickets and homemade cakes as well as preserves and sweets. And there will be refreshments provided by Pett WI.
Help on the stalls will be very welcome, as will cakes, preserves and raffle prizes. Donation of books, toys, clothes, bric-a-brac, etc. should be brought to the hall after 9am. Sadly electrical goods, furniture or very large items cannot be accepted due to the difficulty of disposing of unsold items.
Church Services on Sunday October 6 – Holy Communion, David Wotton, St Mary & St Peter, Pett at 9:30am; Sunday Service at the Methodist Chapel at 10:45am.
On Monday October 7 in Pett Methodist Chapel, the Village Choir will meet at 7:30pm.
POPP on Tuesday October 8 will feature a Pamper Day. This will include head and shoulder massage, which will be available fortnightly, from Antonella Bruce. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.
Also on Tuesday October 8 Pett Gardening Club will be meeting at 7pm in Pett Village Hall. There will be a talk from garden designer Chris O’Donoghue: From Pottery to Potting Shed and new members are always warmly welcomed at £2 per meeting.
There will be a concert by the Village Choir at Pett Parish Church on Sunday October 13 at 3-30pm. Donations will be for Farm Africa and there will be refreshments. Come and enjoy the beautiful singing!
