On Friday May 18 Pett WI is holding its Resolution Meeting. May is the month for voting for the Annual Resolutions, for which the WI is well known. Each year WI members put forward issues as ‘resolutions’ that they want to see the national body campaign on. The process ensures that every WI member has the opportunity to set the direction of the NFWI campaigns and policy, from the grassroots up. This year’s resolution is to request the Government to train and employ more midwives.

Pett WI meets on the third Friday of every month at Pett Village Hall at 2:30pm and new members are always welcome.

Don’t forget this year’s annual sponsored Cycle Ride, which will take place on Sunday May 20 2012, starting at the Coastguard Station at Rye Harbour. The start time will be between 8.30-10.00 hours.

Entry/sponsorship forms are available at local shops and Pett Level Rescue Boathouse. This is a fun event, which always attracts a good turnout, whether it is keen cyclists or those who want to get a bit of exercise and to raise funds for good causes.
