The next date for Sunday Roast at the Club is on Easter Sunday 31st March. There will be a choice of Roast Turkey or Roast Lamb with seasonal veg and this will cost £7.00 the sweets will be either Stem Ginger Meringue or Easter Gateaux and cost £2.50 and children’s lunches include ice cream and cost just £4.00. Lunch is served between 1pm – 3pm and to book please ring 880673.
Each Sunday at the Club between 4pm – 6pm the Treasure Chest is drawn. This gives the lucky winner 50% of the takings and a chance to find the key to open the Treasure Chest. Tickets are on sale throughout the week and cost just £1.00.
Tomorrow Saturday 23rd March is the Bonfire Society Crafty Coffee Morning again at Robertsbridge Club. This is opening at 10am and there will be many types of stalls with local crafts and skills. There will be a raffle and coffee and cakes available.
This is the last chance to get a form for the Bonfire Dinner Dance that is being held at Powdermills on Saturday 6th April. Forms can be picked up and dropped off with Sandie at the Floral Boutique. You do not have to be a member to enjoy this evening but the booking deadline is 25th March, so if you would like to attend please go to Sandie now.
On Friday 15th March there was a charity band night at Robertsbridge Club that was raising funds for Help the Hospices Charity. It was a tremendous evening with 5 young local bands playing; these included Irie Method, Wax, All the Kings Men, Honey and Hei Joni. This was followed by `Jonboi Junglist DJ and Jack the Rapper. The boys all gave up there time and played for free. The evening raised a fantastic total of £510.00. Thanks need to go to Robertsbridge Club for their support, Keith Osborne for giving up his evening and providing his expertise and sound equipment. Also big thanks to Owen Fox for organising the event together with Steve Ayling who is running the London Marathon for Help the Hospices.
A date for your diary, there will be a plant sale with coffee and cake between 10am – 12noon on Saturday 11th May. This is in aid of Help the Hospice and Breast Cancer Support group 1066 Pink Ladies. Ladies Darts: Our match at The White Hart I(Wadhurst) was postponed because of the snow last week. On Monday [25th] we are away to The White Hart(Netherfield) at 8p.m.
Darts: The Pairs Pushpenny knockout saw Ted Goldfinch and Michael Stone progress into the semi-finals. Tonight is the Mixed Pairs Darts knockout at The Millers Arms. Date for your diary:- Sunday 31st March see’s the return of the very popular Open Pairs Darts Knockout at Robertsbridge Club. Entry is £1 per person and registration is 7.30p.m. There will be an Easter Raffle so make sure you put this date in your diary NOW!!!
Stoolball: We start training on Thursday 4th April at the Cricket Ground @6.30p.m. We are looking to for anybody who would be interested in playing this ‘Old Sussex Game’. Don’t worry if you’ve never played before just come and enjoy our friendly club and we will teach you how to play. Date for your diary:- Saturday 13th April we are holding an ‘Indoor Curling Night’ at Robertsbridge Club @ 7.30p.m. Entry is £1 per person and a maximum of 4 players per team but don’t worry if you can’t get a team we will provide players just come and join this fun evening. There will also be a raffle to raise funds for the stoolball club.
