DARTS: WE played at The Millers Arms and our awful dart season continued with a 7-0 defeat and also losing all the Pairs games. There were 100+ scores for Michael Stone[108,100], Stuart Miller[101,100], Dave Fortsch[100], Keith Stone[100] and Frankie Taylor[100]. We lost pushpenny 4-1 but could easily have won with all games going very close. There were ‘Goldwatches’ for Michael Stone, Dave Fortsch, David Goodsell and Alan Apps. There is no game tonight.

FOOTBALL: The weather put paid to both our matches last week. Tomorrow is ‘Peter Reid Day’ with the ex England footballer and Sunderland manager coming to The Recreation Ground to manage The Bridge’ 2nd team home match against Battle Baptists III K.O. 2p.m. He is expected to arrive around 1p.m. and give the team a talk before the start. There will be a presentation before the kick-off at 2p.m., a half time team talk and a final talk at the end of the game. He will then head off to Robertsbridge Club for a beer or two and at approximately 5.30p.m. start a question and answer session before returning to London. This historic event is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to get close and watch a master at work. The event is open to anybody so bring the family along and enjoy the ‘Peter Reid Day’ with Robertsbridge United Football Club. PLEASE NOTE : Due to the inclement weather and the forecast for the week it is very unlikely that the ‘Peter Reid Day’ will take place due to the Recreation Ground being waterlogged however if it is postponed Breathe Sports have said that Peter will be able to come again in March so keep your eye on this page for an update. There were high scores for Steph[120,84,79,71], Dawn[115], Jackie[91,74] and Eileen[80]. Next Monday[2nd] we are away to Ticehurst Club 8p.m.
