Robetsbridge village voice

Last week I reported about the cricket safety nets at the Cricket Ground being vandalised. This week it gets even worse because there has now been a large section of netting cut out of the practise nets making them unusable.

This was done between Monday and Thursday last week and the Police have been notified. The cost of repair or renewal has now reached around the £1800.00 mark. This is just mindless behaviour and will cause many people time and effort to try and replace the much-needed nets. If you would like to help in any way with time or maybe a donation then please contact me on 880491 and I will pass you on to the right people.

Tomorrow 5th May is Saturday Market at Robertsbridge Hall and it will be open between 10am – 12 noon. There will be a variety of stalls selling everything from fresh produce, cakes, pies, craft ware to pet foods and bird feed. Or why not pop along for a coffee and a chat.

In the late afternoon tomorrow 5th May the Robertsbridge Club will be open for the F.A. Cup Final. Kick off is at 5.15pm so make sure you arrive in plenty of time to get a good seat and a pint before hand.

Later in the evening Monkfest Part 2 will also be taking place at Robertsbridge Club, this opens at 8pm and costs £3 entry for club members and £5 for non-members. This is a Drum & Bass Night and is raising funds for Robertsbridge Bonfire Society. Sets for the night will be Swifty & Lil Lively, Orible Noize, Krazy-K & Killadee and Johnboi Junglist & MC Bait. If you have never been why not give it a go, it was well supported earlier in the year and it is expected to be busy tomorrow.
