A family in Rye were delighted after their runaway rabbit was brought back to them by Cinque Ports Vets.

Bobby the escapist bunny was found hopping along the road and taken to the vets to see if he had a microchip.

Unfortunately he did not but the vets found Bobby’s owners after scouring a registered rabbit owners list.

It turned out the naughty bunny had nibbled a hole in his hutch before escaping out of the garden.

The vets emphasised the importance of micro-chipping your pets as it can easily identify them.
