Rye Christmas Festival has been chosen as one of the top 15 December events by a leading holiday rentals site.

HolidayLettings.co.uk, owned by TripAdvisor, picked the popular festive fair for its article, ’where to go and what to do in December’.

The list has been compiled to celebrate only the best of UK events taking place in December with the final 15 selected from hundreds of the biggest and most exciting events across the UK.

HolidayLettings.co.uk spokesman Saskia Welman said: “The Rye Christmas Festival has made it onto our list as it offers an amazing festive atmosphere filled with live shows and performances inspired by renowned storytellers like the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen.

“The day is full of Christmas festivities like reindeer petting, carol concerts, crafts workshops, and magic demonstrations.

“There’s a lot for everyone to see and enjoy at this gem of a Christmas festival.”

Other events on the list include Padstow’s Christmas festival, Horsham’s festive market, a duck race and Burning the Clocks in Brighton.
