Hop Pickers’ Night: Hop Pickers Night will take place on the 24th September at the Old School Sandhurst at 7PM tickets are £10 and there will be sausage and mash with onion gravy (veggie sausages available to order) and apple crumble, hop picking tales old and new and the folk band. Please send cheques to Barbara Simmons at Old Priest’s House, Bodiam Road Road, Sandhurst TN18 5LT. Tickets prepaid please and collected on the door.

The Green Shop: the Green Shop on the Colonnade at Hawkhurst will be grateful for foreign coins or low denomination banknotes. The target is to convert 5 kg of coins into a check for Hawkhurst Community Hospital League of Friends. Further information on (01580) 752768.
