Sedlescombe

SEDLESCOMBE AND DISTRICT FLOWER CLUB: After the success of the Christmas party, the first meeting of the club is on Wednesday January 13 in Sedlescombe village hall at 7.30pm. The evening will be a hands on evening with your craft inspiration being “Say it with Flowers” but do not worry you will not have to bring anything just yourself and a willingness to create. It would be helpful though if you are thinking of bringing a friend if you could let Sheila on 01797 223927 or Janet on 01424 773708 know , just to help with numbers. Happy New Year to all members and our visitors.

MINI MARKET AND COFFEE MORNING: Please remember that the first coffee morning in this year will be on Thursday February 4 at the usual time of 10am to 11.30am in the village hall and not in this coming week. All are welcome at this friendly event so do try to make space in your diary to go along.

SEDLESCOMBE FAYRE 2016: The date for this years Summer fayre will be Saturday July 16 to take place on the Sports field. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

HAVE YOU NEWS?: I look forward to receiving your news to be published in this column. At this time of year lots of us are thinking about starting or joining something new so if you are looking for new members for your club or organisation why not send me a small piece, outlining your club or organisation aims, activities, membership etc. or if you have an event coming up in the village or local area then why not let me have the details to advertise for you? This is a free service to the village offered by the Battle Observer and hope you will take full advantage of it. Please contact me by email at judy@asselton.co.uk or by calling 870344. Please allow a couple of weeks notice before an event to allow for full coverage.
