Sedlescombe & District Garden Society - May 9

SEDLESCOMBE and District Garden Society is again holding its celebrated plant market at the village hall tomorrow (Saturday), from 10.30am to 12.30 pm. which is kindly sponsored by Blackbrooks Garden Centre. Not only will there be a selection of plants grown by members which will include tomatoes, beans, and other vegetables and bedding plants plus other surplus herbaceous flowering plants, but there will also be trade stands from other local nurseries and organisations.

Included are stands from Julia & Roy Chapman (collage and garden plants; Mr S Beaney (WI), cakes, etc; Mrs. Val Baker, planters, some paintings, her animal rescue literature; Debbie Leam, Great Dixter, unusual herbacious perennials, clematis, shrubs; Peter French, astroemeria plants and flowers; Mrs. Liz Johnson, mixed shrubs, herbs, homemade lemon cakes and meringues; Mrs Julie Lloyd-James, hanging baskets, annuals, salad and vegetable plants, perennials; Friary Gardeners, bedding and basket plants, perennials; Charles & Lynda East, hostas, day lillies, iris, ivy, grass, clipped topiary, cannas; Staplecross Shrub Centre, outside with their shrubs, perennials, etc.
