The annual St Michael’s Hospice Santa Fun Run will take place on Sunday, December 14.
The hospice is urging fun run fans to sign up for their festive fancy dress extravaganza and be among the hundreds of participants to don Father Christmas costumes and complete the 2k or 5k charity fundraiser around Alexandra Park.
Pre-registration for the event, which starts at 10am, is £5 or £8 on the day.
The hospice is also encouraging participants to raise money through sponsorship, with all proceeds going direct to the charity.
Amanda Hildreth, hospice community hundraiser, said: “Children, adults and dogs are encouraged to dress up for our festive Santa Fun Run, the run is open to everyone and is suitable for all family members, with prizes for the best costume. Last year we saw Santas, elves, giant presents and Christmas puddings, However it doesn’t have to be a race you can run, walk or jog it’s up to you.” Children will also have the chance to meet Father Christmas for £2 and take a present home.
