STAPLECROSS VILLAGE SCHOOL: It’s always good to get an update on recent events that have been happening within our parish and this one is an excellent piece of good news. Our own village school, - Staplecross Methodist Controlled Primary School- recently held an after school ‘Disco’ at the Village Hall, for our precious wee ones. Apparently, a “really, really good time, with lots of fun and music and dancing” (- according to insider knowledge via Grand-daughter Daisy ) and was enjoyed by all those who attended. Just what an after school event is all about. The handsome sum of £160:00 was raised, and this has been added to the school funds which will go towards the M.U.G.A. project and other exciting schemes. School days certainly have changed since I went to my own Primary School !!! - and ‘they’ say that the old days are the best !
