THE Jempson Foundation has made a donation to Battle Area Community Transport.

BACT is a charity serving the local transport needs of people living in rural Rother, from the Battle area in the south to Ticehurst in the north.

Lyn Bollen from BACT said: “We would like to thank the Jempson Foundation for its donatio.

“BACT is looking to expanding its services to rural communities and we currently require more volunteer drivers. Our fleet of modern minibuses are easy to drive and training is given, so please call us for more details of volunteering opportunities.”

Stephen Jempson said: “The Jempson Foundation was established to extend our support to the local community where we operate our supermarkets and cafes, it gives us tremendous pleasure to make this donation.”
