The Twenty Ten Club

ONCE again the weather turned against us on February 11, the heavy snow causing the cancellation of our speakers, just as it did in January.

However, a few who were able to get to the centre by foot braved the elements and we spent the afternoon chatting and getting to know one another.

The speaker has been re-booked for our meeting on June 10 by which time he will have made another visit to Kenya to see how the clinic and nursery, which the Senlac Rotarians helped to set up, is progressing so the news will be right up to date.

On March 11 we have the two speakers re-scheduled from January and they are PC Jason Kemp and PCSO Rachael Scott, who will explain about their different roles in the police force, give us some hints on crime prevention and answer and questions that members may like to ask.

At the March meeting we will need orders and payment for the fish and chip lunch, which will be held on April 8.

That meeting will start at 1pm, not 2pm as usual.

We will only be able to supply the meal to those who have paid in advance, so please be sure to put your name down if you'd like to join us. All our meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at the Sandhurst Hall, Little Common Community Centre, starting at 2pm until 4pm. So if you enjoy meeting people and making new friends, please come along and give us a try.

We do have several male members already (but we've room for more) and everyone will be made very welcome.
