A taxi flipped onto its roof in an accident in Camber this afternoon.

The crash is reported to have happened around 2pm on Friday July 8, where Lydd Road meets New Lydd Road.

Julie Kemp, of the Camber Community Newsletter Team, said the taxi was not carrying any passengers at the time, and the driver was able to escape from the vehicle unharmed.

“At the scene, many residents and passers-by stopped to help, along with several Stagecoach bus drivers, who took care of directing the traffic until emergency services arrived,” she said.

Fire crews, paramedics and police were all called to the scene, but no-one was taken to hospital.
