UPDATE: Two women in hospital after Battle crash

Two women were rushed to hospital following a crash in Battle yesterday afternoon (Thursday, April 21).

The emergency services were called to Powdermill Lane just after 4.30pm after a car and camper van collided near the junction with Telham Lane.

A teenage girl was taken to the Conquest Hospital as a priority, suffering from chest and abdominal pain.

A woman was also taken to hospital suffering from ankle pain.

Neither are believed to have sustained life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed in both directions while the scene was cleared.
