Classic car show: The Senlac Classic Car Show will take place on June 18 at the Bodiam Recreation Ground. Residents of Bodiam will get a letter from The Rotary Club of Senlac and each resident will get 2 free tickets for each house in Bodiam. Charities supported this year are Conquest Hospital scanner, Diabetes UK and Senlac's Yellowmen.

Alfred Hurley: The service for the late Alfred Hurley, who died on February 1, will take place at St Giles, Bodiam, at 11.30am and afterwards at Hastings Crematorium. Alfred’s family warmly invites everyone to join them at The Cross Inn at Staplecross for refreshments and to reminisce about Alfred on February 27.

Parish Council: The next meeting of the parish council is on February 27 at 7pm in The Parish Room. Members of the public are invited and the meeting will be opened for public participation from 7.30 to 7.40pm.

Big Day: Today is a big day (February 24) at Staplecross Village Hall from 11am until 12.30pm as MP Huw merriman and Angharad Davies, East Sussex County Councillor, and Tony Ganly, Rother Councillor for waste and recycling, will hold a surgery.

St Giles: The next church service is Family Service on March 5 at 11.15am.

Thanks: A big thank you to the many who sent me Valentine’s Cards - 20 in all. i do not know what I have, perhaps it’s my charm. And what about my birthday? 40 - 50 cards. And I felt I only had one friend and a sister, so I am am happy.
