June Boorman: It is so sad to inform you that June Boorman peacefully died in her sleep in Hospital last Thursday. She lived in Udimore but was a member of Brede Friendly Circle for many, many years. She will be missed by all of us and I am sure by her family and friends. Please may I ask you to pray for them all.

Friday 21 October: Pilates with Laura at 9.15am Brede Farmers Market in Brede Village Hall from 10am – 12noon where you will find all your wonderful goodies whether food, wood, cards or plants. Brede Short Mat Bowlers will be in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm. They would be pleased to have new members, just turn up wearing flat shoes. Saturday 22 October: There is a craft workshop in Brede Village Hall at 10am

Sunday 23 October: The Church Services are as follows: Father Anthony White conducts the Mass service at 9.00 am in St Theresa’s Catholic Church on the old Northiam Road, if you need to contact the Father his number is 01424 773125

Mrs Pen Wilcock will lead this mornings service at the Methodist Church in Broad Oak at 10.30am. The Pastoral Minister The Reverend Peggy Heim can be contacted on 01424 422350.

Monday 24 October: Yoga at 9.30am, in Udimore Community Hall. The whist players will be in action in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm. The Village Hall is empty during the day, if you want to hire it please phone Carol Kynvin 01424 882123 The Guiding section meet in the small hall of Brede Village Hall; the Rainbows meet from 4.15- 5.15pm, they welcome girls aged between 5-7 years, Julie Piper can be contacted for both on 01424 883464 or mobile 07863599537. The Brede Scout sections are all held in the Scout Hut Stubbs Lane, Beavers welcome Boys and girls from 6 years old they meet from 5.15pm to 6.15pm. The Scout Hut is disabled friendly and can be booked on all weekdays and Wednesday,Thursday and Friday evenings and the weekend. It is £6.00 per hour. Please contact me Rhiannon Oliver at the above as I am the booking clerk for the Scout Hut. Whist is in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm

The Knitters & Natters club meet in the Methodist Church Hall at 10am do join them if you like to knit.

Sunday 30 October: the Brede & Udimore Overseas Group are holding an English Tea Party with cakes scones meringues and jellies at Chitcombe Oast. Please put the date in your diary and contact either Liz Turgoose 01424 882657 or Judy Edwards 01424 882222 to book up for this afternoon of fun and food.

Wednesday 16 November: the last Flu Jab session is today at the Broad Oak Surgery between 2pm and 3pm no booking is necessary.

Thursday 17 November: An indoors Glyndebourne. The VI O,clock Club presents a Cameo Opera 7pm for 7.30pm start at Brede Village Hall. Dress up in your finery and pack your four course posh picnic to eat between the singing. There is a prize for the best dressed table of any size. There is a raffle and other prizes.

Saturday 26 November: Quiz Night at Brede Village Hall if you wish to have a table for 8, please contact me as soon as possible as we have Ten teams already. We shall have a Fish and Chip supper and the cost is £9 per person. All proceeds are for the upkeep of Brede Village Hall.
