Concert: the Richard Beattie Davies Memorial recitals this year raised £1,483. This brings the total for the past eight years to well over £7000 for the hospice and a few hundred for St Nicholas’s Church, when the recital use the facility but most the time it took place in a house in Church Road.
Citizens advice: the Citizen’s Advice bus no longer visits rural villages and Sandhurst is one of them but an adviser with wheels is now available by appointment at the Sandhurst Tea Room. Phone (01892) 617256 to make a time that suits you.
Christmas event: The Marsh Warblers are to do an event for the church tower fund. It’s carols and readings from Thomas Hardy’s ‘Under the Greenwood Tree’. Tickets are £10 (01580) 850281 or (01580) 850278. The event will take place at St Nicholas’s Church at 7:30 PM Sunday, December 11 with mulled wine and mince pies.
Christmas fair: the village primary school is to have a Christmas fair and shopping event at the school today, Friday, November 25, from 3:30 PM to 6 PM.
