Church concert: please bear in mind the Wealden Consort will be at St Nicholas Church for a concert on May 27 at 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Further details soon.

Football: it’s good to report that Sandhurst Football Club are fifth from the top in the league with 22 points and a game in hand.

The churchyard: St Nicholas Churchyard’s regulations stipulate that there should be no artificial flowers except poppies for Remembrance Day. There is a trend for the placing of inanimate objects on the grave such as plastic statues and beer bottles which are prohibited under these regulations.

Church lights: the church was illuminated on Sunday, 19 February and the beacon was lit in memory of Tony Kerry. If anyone would like more information about floodlighting the church in memory of a loved one phone churchwarden Bob Holden on (01580) 850278.

Suspicious behaviour. Please report immediately any suspicious people in the village or a vehicle or an event that causes concern to the police. Baptist Church services: the services at the village Baptist Church on March 26 are morning worship at 10:30 AM. The pastor Ken will take the service. At 1 PM a soup and sweet lunch will take place on April 5. Coffee morning takes place at 10.45 in the church hall all are welcome.
