CHURCH SERVICES FOR CHRISTMAS AND THE NEW YEAR: By now most of you who live in Udimore will have received a full list of the services in St Mary’s Church, details of which I can now confirm.
On Sunday morning, December 18, the Sung Family Eucharist will be at 11.15am. That evening, the Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, for Brede and Udimore, will be at 6pm.
Next Saturday evening, Christmas Eve, the Carol and Crib Service will be at 5pm, and the Midnight Mass at 11.30pm.
On Christmas Morning the Sung Family Eucharist will be at 11.15am.
The following Sunday, January 1, there will be a Sung Family Eucharist at 9.30am, to get us off to a good start for the New Year.
GRAND QUIZ EVENING: A fortnight later, at 6.45pm on Saturday January 14, members of the Committee of St Mary’s Community Hall invite us all to join them in some exercise for our little grey cells. A fish and chips supper (bring your own bottles) will be followed by the serious business of the evening, and there will be a raffle too. Very good value for £10. If you can make up a table of 8, so much the better, but smaller numbers can be easily fitted into teams on the evening. The committee will need to know numbers in advance, so do go ahead and make contact as soon as possible, by ringing Frank or Celia on 01424 882250, or 07976 255431, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org Please make a point of supporting this major fundraising event for the Hall!
