Westfield Horticultural Society: holds a Pumpkin Competition at The New Inn at midday tomorrow, Saturday. Bring your home-grown pumpkins along for a weigh-in. There will be tasty pumpkin treats to sample, prizes and plenty of silly pumpkin fun!
F3 (Friends, Fun, Fellowship): meets next Thursday, October 27, at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall. This group is open to all women of any age, so come along for a warm welcome. For more details telephone Helen on 01424 752052. Local acclaimed writer Charlotte Moore will be talking about ‘Hancox; a House and a Family’, the story of her fascinating family who lived (and still live) in the family house at Whatlington. Admission is just £2.
Westfield Parish Lunch Club: meets in the Parish Hall next Friday, October 28 at 12.45pm. New members are always welcome. We provide a 2 course home cooked meal at a cost of £3.50, for those who are over 50 years old or disabled and living in Westfield Parish. We have special lunches at Christmas and Easter time, and a lunch outing in August.
Do you have a spare couple of hours once a month? The lunch club needs volunteers to do the washing up during and after the lunch. This is just once a month on the 4th Friday. Please get in touch with the Co-ordinator Doreen on 01424 751417 to book your lunch or to offer help.
