HELLO: It’s good to see the sun shining and the weather a bit warmer and let’s hope the cold snap forecasted for next weekend misses us. The snowdrops in the churchyard are just beginning to come through and should make a spectacular show next week so go and have a look if you get the chance.

PARISH CHURCH NEWS: Being the second Sunday of the month the church service on February 12th is a Family one at 10.30am and will be taken by Reader Sue Chance, who helps at Whatlington on a three monthly basis with this service. As usual for this service there will be refreshments following and the village hall car park will be open.

GOOD COMPANIONS NEWS: Members of “The Good Companions” enjoyed a delicious lunch at The Royal Oak recently; kept warm by a roaring log fire. Thank you to everyone at The Royal Oak, for making us so welcome.

Our next outing will be on Wednesday 22nd February, when we will be visiting The Abbey Hotel in Battle. The Good Companions are a group of retired people who meet on a monthly basis for an outing or lunch. There is no membership fee and you do not have to attend all meetings; just the ones you chose to go to. New members are always welcome and if you would like any further information please contact Hilda on 01634 932135 or Valerie on 01424 773017
