Services at the Parish Church: on Sunday are Holy Communion at 8am and Family Service at 10am. Please remember your contributions for Family Support Work this week.

F3 (Friends, Fun, Fellowship) women’s group meets on Thursday, May 26 at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall. Tonight’s meeting re-visits ‘Alice in Wonderland’ with its delightful scenes and quirky characters, and we are promised a song or two and even a dance. For more details contact Helen 01424 752052. The Westfield Parish Lunch Club: meets today from 12.45pm in the Parish Hall. This volunteer group provides a two course home-cooked meal (£3.50) for those in the parish over 50 years old or who are disabled. There are special lunches (£4) at Christmas and Easter time, and a lunch outing in August. New members are welcome, so please contact Co-ordinator Doreen Smith (751417) if you would like to join.

Look out for Shakespearean: scarecrows next week! The scarecrows should be on display by May 28, ready for judging the following week. The village fete follows on June 11, and the organisers need volunteers to help on the day. Please get in touch with Annie at [email protected] for anything fete related, but particularly with offers of help.

Looking further: ahead, the mobile unit: of the East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre will be visiting Westfield on Thursday, June 23, and will be in The New Inn car park from 10.30am – 12.30pm. The bus is accessible to wheelchair users and representatives from both the East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre and Adult Social Care will provide free advice on all aspects of hearing loss. The bus is equipped to offer demonstrations of assistive equipment and hearing screening tests. Please make sure that anyone you know with hearing problems is aware of this service.
