Services at the Parish Church: this Sunday, July 17 at 8am and 10am are both Holy Communion, so come along for a warm welcome. There are activities for younger members at the 10am service. The Family Service next week (July 24) is a Pet Service, outdoors if the weather is fine, so book the date.

The Westfield Parish Lunch Club: meets at 12.45pm in the Parish Hall today. New members (over 50, or disabled and living in the Parish) are always welcome to come and enjoy a 2 course home cooked meal for just £3.50, so contact the Co-ordinator Doreen Smith (01424 751417) to book your place.

Don’t forget the concert at Guestling Church at 7pm tomorrow, Saturday 16 July. Molly Townson presents the renowned ladies choir ‘Cantabile’ with ‘Songs for a Summer Evening’, with Suzan Ozkan (Soprano) and Enid Graham (accompanist), and the Guestling Church Choir. Tickets are £12 each, to include refreshment and strawberries and cream, direct from the Church, Gill Perry (01424 814578) or Molly Townson (01424 812520). All concert proceeds will go to the St. Laurence Church Guestling Restoration Fund. Based on previous years, this is a concert not to be missed!

F3 (Friends, Fun, Fellowship): women’s group have a special summer meeting next Thursday, July 21. Meet at the church at 5.45pm ready to drive to the Old Court Hall, Winchelsea for a talk about treasures and recent discoveries in Winchelsea from Blue Badge Guide Jane Fraser Hay, followed by a buffet supper. Please let Helen (01424 752052) know if you are coming. The cost is £5.

Fia’s Fun Day takes place: from 1-7pm at Fresh Winds, Pett on Saturday, July 23, to support a local family whose child has a progressive and fatal neurodegenerative disease, but benefitting other Westfield children too. The event promises live music, craft, storytelling, dance classes, football and much more, with camping available separately too. Tickets are £10 adult, £5 for under 17s, from ‘The New Inn’.

Theatre Sense are running: a free musical theatre session during the school holiday. This will be on Tuesday, August 9 from 10am-2pm in the Community Hall. Booking is advisable by ringing Lorraine on 07730 254122 or emailing [email protected] .
