Services at the Parish Church: this Sunday, July 24 are Holy Communion at 8am and Family Service at 10am. This is an outdoor Pet Service, so bring your family pet, suitably contained if applicable!

Congratulations to landlord Patrick: and his staff at ‘The New Inn’ for winning an award for the best eatery from More Radio. The pub was reopened with a new lease of life eighteen months ago after being closed for some three years.

Fia’s Fun Day takes place: from 1-7pm at Fresh Winds, Pett tomorrow, Saturday, July 23, to support a local family whose child has a progressive and fatal neurodegenerative disease, but benefitting other Westfield children too. The event promises fantastic live music, craft, storytelling, dance classes, football and much more, with camping available separately too. Tickets are £10 adult, £5 for under 17s, from ‘The New Inn’.

The Friendship Club: meets in the Parish Hall on Monday, July 25 from 2-3.30pm for bingo, whist or just a chat over tea and biscuits. Several outings are arranged during the year, and new members are always welcome, so contact Jean Hobson on 01424 753095 for more information. Please note that starting from 2 September the meeting day will change to the first and third Friday of each month. This is to allow Westfield Playgroup to open for longer hours on Mondays.

Theatre Sense: is running: a free musical theatre session during the school holiday. This will be on Tuesday, August 9 from 10am-2pm in the Community Hall. Booking is advisable by ringing Lorraine on 07730 254122 or emailing info@theatresense.co.uk .
