Whatlington

HELLO: The recent cold snap this week has reminded us all that we are still in mid winter but what a delight to have some bright sun and blue skies to replace the wet, dull and warm weather of December and early January. What better encouragement could you need to get out and enjoy our beautiful countryside and use our public footpaths and rights of way.

VILLAGE HALL: The hall is available free of charge for parties for the children of village residents. It can also be hired at a very reasonable rate for other events - please contact Pauline Lyon 01424 256347 to book.

ROYAL OAK: Friday 29 January at 8 pm is the regular monthly Irish music night -come along and enjoy the fun and get your toes tapping and hands clapping

PARISH CHURCH: The church service this coming Sunday will be at the usual time of 09.30am for the Parish Communion.

Some advance notice for January 31st, when there will be a United Benefice service at Whatlington, when we will be welcoming the congregation from Sedlescombe church. This is the first of a number of new initiatives to enable our two churches to work more closely together. The service will be at 10.30am.
