Woman is hurt in Camber collision

A 39 year old woman suffered serious injuries when her car struck a tree near Rye Golf Club, between Camber and Rye.

The incident happened at 6.40am on Monday June 9.

Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene.

The woman was airlifted to the Conquest Hospital with serious injuries, which were not though to be life threatening.

The road was closed for two hours while emergency services dealt with the situation.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident to contact them.
