Young performers shine at Rye

Gala 1

Gala 1

YOUNGSTERS enjoyed a week of fun, games, singing, dancing and acting when Splitz Dance Academy held its Musical Theatre Summer School

The week culminated in a gala performance on Friday August 17.

Students as young as two through to 16 years learned all the performance techniques they would need ready for the show on stage at Rye College.

Principal Stacey Caister said: “The School has over forty students this year and each and every child had lines to learn, routines to perfect and props to make. All thoroughly enjoyed their week spent learning and interacting with each other along with the teachers at Splitz.

“Splitz Dance Academy are also celebrating another huge success for the school with students aged 6-12 years recently participating in ISTD Dance Exams and all achieved the highest mark possible of Distinction, with some students also receiving outstandingly high marks of 89 and 90.

“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate each and every student on their achievements.

“We are now looking forward to another busy term beginning in September at the new studio in Rye Sport Centre.” With new classes, and students now taken from 12 months, anyone who is interested in joining Splitz should contact Stacey on 07812452153 or email Stacey@splitzdanceacademy.co.uk.
