Bowlers get a raw deal from Rother

BEING a bowler, could someone in the Rother Council explain to me the logic in spending another £23 million on Bexhill, when we have been told that local bowls clubs in the East Sussex area will have to fund and take care of their own greens or be closed?

This they say is due to the fact that their Conservative overlords in London have deemed to cut £1.7 million from their budget in the next two years.

Bowling is possibly one game that all ages can participate, but most of all the elderly. This certainly keeps us fit.

With the Conservatives’ help, we can curl-up indoors, unfit, wrapped in blankets, because we cannot pay our heating bills.

Perhaps it’s time to set up death camps for everyone over 65 and save our council/Government even more money!
