Computer plans cause confusion in Rye

For a long period of time Rye residents have been able to access and view current planning applications in the Rother Cinque Port site.

We have now been given to understand that this facility is no longer available in the new Rother help point site, now situated in Rye Library.

The new proposed computer availability is often not straight forward and will cause distress to many older residents, many of whom are not fully computer literate.

We have been given to understand that some very large development plans may still be available for viewing in person.

All other plans will now only be accessible by computer. The present situation is unacceptable. Rother District Council needs to clarify the situation as a matter of urgency.
