I believe it is a sensible proposal

As residents and regular visitors to Rye know, the lack of parking enforcement means that available on-street parking spaces are few and far between.

It is therefore not surprising that motorists use Jempsons car park as it is convenient and free.

However, when shopping at Jempsons, it is very annoying to sometimes spend time waiting for a space to become free only to find far fewer customers in the shop than cars in the car park.

It is not Jempsons responsibility to provide free parking for the benefit of other businesses and tourists at the expense of their own customers.

As customers can get an hours parking charge refunded if they spend £5 what reasonable objection can there be to what I believe is a very sensible proposal?
