The link road decision was the wrong one

THE Hastings-Bexhill link road should never have been approved.

The current link road proposal was originally put forward as a solution to the congestion on Bexhill Road.

It now appears that it was just a means of getting open green land for building.

Has anyone thought that the 2000 homes or so that will be built will easily attract this number of cars (or more) to the area?

This road will be congested in no time and, before long, another link road will be mooted that will combine Bexhill, St Leonards, Hastings and Crowhurst into one big urban sprawl.
